PAKENHAM Rotary Club president Tim Ahern was present at the fourth annual general meeting of the Pakenham East Probus Club and presided over the election of the 2010 office bearers.
Carol Porter was duly elected as the new president, Laurie Hudgson as vice president, Marlene Knaap as secretary and Jim Armstrong as treasurer.
Committee members are Brian Lewis, Kay Havers, Barry Hodge, Jan Buckley, Roma Warner, John Hickman, Dot Rowlands and Bruce Gillies.
Members were provided with a report booklet outlining the year’s activities.
The club was extremely active last year and gave members the opportunity to listen to interesting guest speakers, participate in organised outings and special interest groups.
This year is set to be equally stimulating.
The annual general meeting fell on the same date as St Patrick’s Day.
Members marked the occasion by dressing in green. Jan Ahern, wife of the Rotary president, awarded a prize to Peter Jones, as the “best dressed leprechaun”.
