Branch open

AN EXCITING era is starting with the inaugural official meeting of the Pakenham Evening Branch of the Country Womens Association of Victoria (CWA).
The meeting will be held on Wednesday at 7pm.
Last month an information evening for career women and young mothers was held at the Living and Learning Centre in Henry Street and a group of enthusiastic young ladies wishing to learn more of the workings of the association attended.
The deputy state president Carol Clay and West Gippsland Group president Pene Oorloff conducted the evening giving the history and workings of the CWA within Victoria.
They then answered the questions from the ladies present of their involvement within the association.
The young ladies who are forming the evening branch are very enthusiastic about the contribution they can put back into the community locally and further afield.
