Find mascot and be a Star

– Kim Brooks
THE Garfield Stars football team are missing their mascot after five-year-old Star, a pure bred Staffie, went missing on Saturday 1 May.
The Watson family, who live on a 1.5 hectare property in Garfield, are offering a $2000 reward for their lost pet.
Leah Watson is desperate to find the dog who was her son’s 12th birthday present.
“He’s a very loved family member,” Ms Watson said. “He’s like one of the kids, he’s almost human”.
Star is black and brindle with a white star-shaped patch on his chest. He’s not wearing a collar, but he has been micro-chipped.
The reward is being offered with no questions asked, the family just want their favourite pet back home.
“I just want to know where he is, that he’s warm and being well fed,” Ms Watson said.
The family went to bed on Friday 30 April expecting to find Star in the morning as usual. “He’s always here in the morning when we get up”.
Star disappeared sometime between midnight and 7am.
“He can get out through a doggy door, but he always comes back,” Ms Watson said.
If anyone finds the pure bred English Staffordshire bull terrier, take him to the local vets who can identify him and contact the family.
“He’ll be fretting by now,” Ms Watson said.
