Methane mess mediation

A MEDIATION hearing between Casey Council and Brookland Greens residents has been adjourned until July.
Law firm Slater and Gordon is representing more than 600 residents in the class action against the council, after the value of residents’ homes in the Cranbourne estate plummeted when methane gas leaks occurred in September 2008.
Casey Council has joined a number of third parties in the class action. They are: the Environment Protection Authority (EPA), SITA Australia, LMS Generation and the Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV).
