CHRIS Johnson has been named the president of the West Gippsland Group CWA.
The annual meeting and state conference of the CWA Victoria was held in the Melbourne Town Hall from 25-27 May and at this time the office-bearers changed hands.

For her term of office, Mrs Johnson will represent the group on CWA State Council, assisting in administrative duties and lobbying the federal and state governments on social issues.
Issues raised at the state conference which will be taken to the Victorian State Government are to extend the natural gas pipeline from Horsham to the South Australian border, for all ratepayers to pay a fire service levy and to halt the sale of irrigation water and farming property to government superannuation companies and corporate businesses.
The Pakenham Branch is proud to have both Mrs Johnson, now president of the West Gippsland Group and Carol Clay, the deputy state president of the CWA as members of their branch.
They will hold their next stall on Thursday 24 June in the Coles Plaza selling lots of cakes, biscuits and preserves along with great winter knitting articles.
They will also hold a Friendship Day being held in the Girl Guide Hall on Wednesday 14 July from 10.30am.
Senior Sergeant Roberts of the Pakenham Police will speak on the day about the Key Pass and the benefits of elderly registering with the local police.
