Dancing Graci

GRACI Sims is putting her best foot forward.
The Year 12 Cranbourne Secondary College student is one step closer to her dream of working for a professional dance company, by gaining entry into the prestigious National Theatre Ballet School.
Graci, 18, will dance and perform her heart away when she joins the school in Melbourne next year.
Graci said she had braced herself for a full schedule.
“You go there at 7.30am and dance until 4.30pm,” she said.
“It’s going to be hard work, but I’ll enjoy it.”
For auditions, hopeful students joined in on classes at the ballet school to see how they adapted, Graci said.
The teachers told Graci they were impressed with the way she took on constructive criticism.
“I knew it was really tough, but I had a good feeling,” Graci said.
Graci has been learning tap and jazz since she was a youngster, but said theatre ballet was her passion.
“I just love learning and improving myself. To show everyone the hard work you’ve put in is rewarding,” she said.
