All well at Berwick

ANOTHER good meeting of the Berwick Senior Citizens, with a couple of old friends present, namely, Frank Cranston and Val di Carlo. Also, Gladys Obeth received her birthday greetings, which were actually due last week.
There were no other new reports of anyone in hospital or sick.
At the meeting, the door prizes were won by Ella Matheson and our president, Isabella Price. Winner of the meat tray was Dianne Kimmit, while the club voucher went (again) to Isabella.
A raffle would be drawn next week.
President Isabella announced that the long-awaited meals would start in the new year.
These would be provided by members of the staff of Casey City Council by voluntary labour, and we are grateful to those generous ladies for their dedication to our club.
After the meeting, the members enjoyed bingo, to the delight of Lorna Bird.
She had five wins, two shared with Bessie Gould and Beryl Newman.
This left Hilda Boening to collect a further two prizes, so that the remaining three went to Erika Albert, Alice Haynes and June Murphy.
