TOORADIN

SENIORS
All games were washed out as rain settled in during early afternoon.

UNDER 15 GREEN
Tooradin Green played Clyde at home. We won the toss and batted and ended up 9/66 from 36 overs. Tooradin got away to a solid opening partnership between Andrew Proctor (12) and Nic Simpson and were 22 when Andrew was dismissed. Nic worked hard to make 19 and batted for 16 overs. Our middle order then collapsed as we went from 2/33 to 8/47. Owen, Mitch and Lewis were all run out, with Lewis making second top score of 13. Fortunately, the last wicket partnership between John Connor and Lewis Johnson added a very valuable 19 before Lewis was run out.
UNDER 15 RED
Tooradin Red played Devon Meadows and won the toss and batted. At the end of 40 overs, we had made 6/120. Dylan Sutton was the mainstay of the innings and batted beautifully for a chanceless 40 retired. He had useful partnerships with Brad Lenders of 25 runs and a 43 run partnership with Luke Adams (14). Tim Lenders (13) had a 16 run partnership with Ray Abrehart and Tom Bethune ended on five not out. On a slow ground, this was a competitive score.
UNDER 13
Tooradin played Cardinia and scored 9/75 from 38 overs. After being 2/3, Lewis Johnson (13) had a 24 run partnership with Rohan Simpson. Rohan batted very soundly and went on to top score with 20. Tooradin were 8/55, then had a handy 20 run partnership between John Connor (eight) and Luke Sparks (eight not out) to see the score move to 75.
UNDER 11
Tooradin played Clyde at Clyde and batted first to make 7/60. Ned Harrison top-scored with 13. Some of the boys played cross bats to balls which were pitched on their stumps and were bowled.
Bowling, we took five wickets, with all boys bowling well. Callum, Ned, Harry and Alex were the wicket takers. The team plays Clyde again next week at Clyde.
