Mind that matters

DreamWorks, you’ve done it again.
Megamind brings to the screen the usual high-standard animation, cutting-edge script and all-star cast of voices we’ve come to expect from the masters of the craft.
Will Ferrell – in a voice sounding suspiciously like one of the South Park lads – takes the lead as Megamind, the evil genius with a heart of gold.
And from there, it’s a fast-paced ride of relentless action as superheroes are brought well and truly down to earth.
Don’t take any toilet or popcorn breaks – five minutes out of the cinema at the wrong time, and you’ll probably never catch up.
Truly, there’s only about 10 flat minutes in the whole film.
While we saw the 2D version, I’m sure the 3D event is even more enjoyable.
Sharp scripting means there’s plenty here for an adult audience.
Dylan, 8, says you’ll get your money’s worth from this film.
He says to follow it closely, and get ready for some surprises and some laughs.
He rates it as a good family movie.
