ALL Claire and Jay Fyfe want for Christmas is their dog Rocky back – and they are asking Santa to help find him.
Ten-year-old Claire and 8-year-old Jay have written a letter to Santa hoping for a Christmas miracle to bring Rocky home, who has been missing since 16 November.
“If you see him when you’re flying Santa can you please bring him home,” the letter read.
“We will leave out cookies and milk and magic reindeer food out.”
Their mum Cathy Pagenstecher has been touched by the support of friends and family, and even from the wider community who have joined the search and the campaign to bring Rocky home.
Ms Pagenstecher said Rocky had never escaped from their Upper Beaconsfield home before, and the family had re-homed him about six months ago for a family who couldn’t look after him anymore.
She said Rocky had been a welcome addition to the Fyfe family.
Friends have been searching the pounds for Rocky, and Ms Pagenstecher had also set up a Facebook page to try and track him down.
She said her children kids “missed him terribly” and he was a great family pet.
“I took him to boarding school training – he was very well-trained, still excitable but very well-trained,” she said.
“He has a beautiful black shiny coat and he is micro-chipped.”
Rocky also gets along well with the family’s cats, and likes to walk with the kids to school each morning.
The children told their mum that they missed Rocky “jumping and playing with them and that they loved taking him to the beach.
They said he was always excited to see them when they get home and that he would always look after them.
Ms Pagenstecher encouraged people to like the Facebook page ‘Let’s Find Rocky’ to help find bring him home.
