Hangover with no hangover

The Hangover Part III (MA)
Starring: Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis

ASTOUNDINGLY, the final Hangover has no hangover.
The trilogy’s last episode abandons the morning after search for the truth of the night before, instead zeroing in on the lunatic criminal mastermind Chow, and Wolfpack ‘leader’ Alan.
And it’s just as well, because there’s nothing much else going on here.
Chow steals the show, after breaking out of an Asian prison hellhole.
He is soon in an underworld war with a Las Vegas crime boss (John Goodman) with the good ol’ Wolfpack caught in the middle.
As usual, Doug disappears early after being held for ransom, and the others carry on with the usual shenanigans.
There’s a much darker edge to this film, with some underworld murders taking a shine off the laughs.
Nowhere near as gross-out as its predecessors, this vast franchise has ended with a whimper, not a bang.
It’s the McDonald’s of film – you know what you’re getting.
All that remains to be seen now is what formula the Hollywood money men will dream up to bring back the Wolfpack.
