Big day for the kids

THE 10th annual Road Safety Expo and Children’s Day will be an event not to be missed.
To celebrate the milestone of the event, Cardinia Shire Council has ensured there will be plenty to keep everyone entertained.
Expected to attract over 4000 people, the free community expo will include plenty of children’s activities including camel rides, animal petting farm, bike obstacle course, scooter and skater lessons, come and try sports, mini golf, sports shoot-out and chair-o-plane.
There will also be amazing car and truck displays, including a helicopter landing and some great prizes on offer.
Attendees will be able to access a range of important information about children’s services, health and support services, emergency services, road safety, sport and recreation.
The Road Safety Expo and Children’s Day will be held from 10am to 2pm on Saturday 26 October at the Cardinia Cultural Centre, Lakeside Boulevard, Pakenham.
The event is being hosted by Cardinia Shire Council and the Best Start Partnership and organised by the Cardinia Shire Children’s Day Working Group and the Cardinia Road Safety Expo Committee.
Organisations involved in planning the event include Victoria Police, CFA, RoadSafe South East, Casey Cardinia Library Corporation, YMCA Cardinia Life, Communities for Children Plus, St Patrick’s Primary School, Kinders Together, Irabina Autism Childhood Services and Kooweerup Regional Health Service.
