Top musicians set hills alive

THE sounds of India and the world are coming to Emerald in October.
The Voyages Indian and World Music Concert brings together three leading world musicians in a spiritual journey which will capture your heart.
Vinod Prasanna is an award-winning virtuoso of the Bansuri flute, and is an outstanding performer of authentic traditional and contemporary Indian music. He hails from one of India’s greatest flute-playing families and carries this legacy with him as he captivates the audience with emotive melodies.
Jay Dabgar comes from a family of tabla-makers, and was raised in an environment of music and performance. It should come as no surprise then that Jay has become a master of Indian percussion and performed in many concerts in India and Australia.
Matthew Fagan has mastered the 10 string Spanish guitar and has performed for dignitaries such as the Dalai Lama. He is a regular participant at world music festivals in Australia and the US.
The concert will be held at the Gemco Theatre on Saturday 19 October, with doors opening at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
Prices are $25, $20 for concession, $45 family, $15 child under 16.
