Man punched in mugging

A YOUNG man from Pakenham was assaulted when he refused to give money to a group of five people on Saturday.
Police said that at 7.50pm on 28 June, a 21-year-old man was walking on Henty Street near Bald Hill Road when he was approached by three women and two men aged between 18 and 20.
One woman asked him for cigarettes and money, but he refused.
One of the men then asked for his phone and money, and when he refused, they punched him several time to the face, and stole his wallet and a bag containing clothes.
The young man suffered minor injuries to his head and lip.
