THREE new members were inducted into the Inner Wheel Club of Pakenham during their recent changeover event.
Members Heather Constable, Patsy Leed and Marie Stephenson were given a warm welcome to the women’s club by Berwick local Kay Morland, who was also celebrated for her recent national presidency takeover.
Incoming president Sue Blenkhorn was given a formal induction into the role which she takes from outgoing president Alma Elliot.
At the event, Ms Elliott listed the club’s successes from the past year including contribution to the White Ribbon five cent pieces campaign, knitting of blankets for the Fistula Hospital in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia and Days for Girls sewing days.
She thanked members for their support during her year as president, marking her appreciation with individual gifts.
Around 60 people attended the event held on Thursday 29 June at the Pakenham Golf Club.
