TWO local community groups are $500 better off this week thanks to a grant from a Beaconsfield business.
Smartline Personal Mortgage Advisers last week presented cheque to the Berwick Soup Kitchen and 4Cs under its community grants program.
Smartline principal Tracey Kyle said the group was pleased to be able to support the important work of local charities.
“Both of the organisations were so grateful and we were amazed to learn about the work they do,” Tracey said.
“The 4Cs can help up to 150 people a day with everything from food, furniture and accommodation to financial assistance.”
4Cs CEO Don Press accepted the cheque along with volunteer Claire Wilson and her mum Josie.
The grants were part of $25,000 donated by Smartline to community groups across Australia.
