A YOUTH sprung tagging buildings in Pakenham continued on his vandal spree despite being caught on camera.
Unflinching by the threat of police, the young man continued to spray the old Pakenham Produce building before moving on to vandalise nearby public toilets at about 2.10pm on Wednesday 4 May.
The footage was captured by a worker who was amazed by the youth’s indifference.
“His response was “why does it matter? It’s an abandoned building.”
“He then began to swear and tell us to mind our own business,” the worker told the Gazette.
Police were called but diverted the incident to protective service officers (PSOs) manning the station.
The youth was last seen walking toward Bald Hill Road.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
