DUKE took two flights to get to Tayla Young, but the journey to Beaconsfield was well worth it.
The five-month-old German Shepherd-staffy cross was a rescue pet living in regional Sydney before he found his forever home.
And, boy is he taken care of.
Tayla, his proud co-owner with Jake, put Duke through puppy school and made sure he had all of his favourite treats for his beloved Kong toy.
“It’s always a challenge to get it out. He will then start talking because he can’t get it out,” Tayla said, explaining Duke loves to talk.
“He is always making funny growling talking noises when he wants something you’ve got.”
Duke is the pair’s first pet.
There are many things they love about their new pet, but none more than his floppy ears.
“Some of our favorite things about Duke is his funny floppy ears that can’t decide if they want to stand up or be floppy,” Tayla said.
