PAKENHAM photographer Clinton Plowman will exhibit a series of photographs at the Cardinia Cultural Centre in July and August celebrating women.
The exhibition – titled She is Life – was inspired by his participation in the two-day Together We Can forum tackling family violence at the same venue in late April.
Clinton said the idea was to give voice in photographic form to the cause.
“This is how I, as a man, can assist in a positive and creative way by changing negative attitudes towards women plus illustrating and creating the awareness of a woman’s beauty and finesse,” he said.
“I would hope in some small way our combined creative art force as dancers and photographer would give expression to the preciousness of woman, mother and creation.
“Illustrating and inspiring the reason why stamping out violence towards women in our community is something all should aspire.”
Clinton is seeking crowd funding to help get the exhibition together. Anyone who wants to help can go to www.gofundme.com/sheislife.
Cardinia councillor Kate Lempriere has already contributed, saying she loved the magic captured in the photography.
“People will benefit when they experience your visual reality and learn your insight and wisdom through the lens,” she wrote in a message.
