PAKENHAM volunteers were recognised for their many years of servicing the community last week at Salvation Army shops.
Certificate awards for reaching the milestones of five years and 10 years of service were presented to 13 volunteers at the Michael Street store on Friday 16 September.
Valda Irvine and Raymond Thompson – both aged over 70 – were congratulated for their dedication to Salvos Stores for the past 10 years.
Recipients of the five years of service certificate included Salvos volunteers Moana Kemp, Mary Clements, Paul Clements, Kay Eastwood, Brian Gray, Geoff Lewis, Joy Lummis, Jean Taberer, Noel Norris, Anna Barrett and Wendy Dewit.
Salvos Stores’ Aife O’Loughlin said head office was pleasantly surprised by the “family-like closeness” of the Pakenham team members and the “happy vibes”.
