PAKENHAM’S first stand-alone metropolitan race meeting not only attracted the cream of the horse racing crop on Saturday.
Fashionistas also came from far and wide to compete for prizes in the Inspire Pilates for Women Fashions on the Field contest.
The spoils were shared between locals and the visitors.
Pakenham’s glamorous Smit family took honours in the Best Dressed Family category and Jaimie Blundy, also from Pakenham, was third in the sought-after Best Lady section, behind the winner Georgina McKerrow from Prahan.
Beaconsfield’s Mandy Manning took the honours in the Mature Lady section and the Best Dressed Male went to Michael McAlpine from Richmond.
