The highly-anticipated Pakenham Health Centre is expected to open next month.
The $6.2 million hub, located at Cardinia Shire Council’s old headquarters in Henty Way, Pakenham, is a Monash Health and council partnership project, and was jointly funded by council and the State Government.
It will house more than 35 health services covering a range of areas including child, maternity, family, youth, and mental health support under the one roof.
It will also offer 21 general consulting rooms and selected outpatient specialist clinics in pathology, pharmacy, allied health, counselling and rehabilitation.
Cardinia Shire Council Team Leader Social and Community Planning Petrina Dodds-Buckley said the facility would provide “community-based healthcare” for people of all ages in the South-Eastern suburbs in a centralised location.
