Five dozen offences: teen charged

Police arrested a teenager in Pakenham on Saturday 18 March as part of an ongoing investigation into a series of alleged aggravated burglaries and thefts in Melbourne’s south east.
The 16-year-old Kooweerup boy was interviewed by detectives from Casey Criminal Investigation Unit and charged for over 60 offences, which occurred over a three-week period from Wednesday 22 February.
The alleged offences include aggravated burglaries, attempted aggravated burglary, burglaries, thefts, thefts of motor vehicle, charges of evading police, driving in a dangerous manner and criminal damages.
The teen was scheduled to appear before a children’s court Monday 20 March.
Detective Senior Constable Brad Coller said the youth did not appear and a new hearing date had not yet been set.
