A Holden Commodore was set alight in a Pakenham street on 13 August.
Police are investigating the car fire, which occurred on Solid Drive at 4.15pm.
It is believed that vandals set fire to the 2003 white Commodore parked on the roadside.
Police are looking to locate a small dark grey hatchback with P-plates and a silver Ford FPB with black stickers on the bonnet, which were seen in the vicinity at the time of the fire.
