Two house captains at Beaconhills College have been hard at work this August raising money for Daffodil Day.
The Leaver House duo have been selling merchandise and fresh daffodils around the school, with all proceeds going to the Cancer Council.
“Daffodil Day gives us the opportunity to support not only people from around our country but also those who have been affected by this terrible disease in our community,” Leaver House captain Jaymi said.
“Having supported the cause throughout our 13 years of schooling, we are passionate about making sure that this support counts. We try to encourage all students to get involved and help lift up those who have been brought down by this life-altering illness.”
Last year, the Cancer Council raised $5.6 million dollars, all of which will go towards funding research for a cancer-free future.
