Evergreen’s annual market and open day was “the best one yet” according to event co-ordinator Sharyn Allsopp.
“It was absolutely brilliant,” Ms Allsopp said.
“The weather was perfect and the residents came out and pitched in and helped on the day.
“It was by far the best market day we’ve ever had.”
An array of stalls and activities were set up on the day including a clairvoyant, homemade crafts and cakes, woodworks, plants for sale, raffles and a trash and treasure.
“We were absolutely packed, there were raffle tickets flying out the door.
“Everybody who volunteers from the village works so hard and I can’t thank them enough for all their hard work on the day, we couldn’t have done it without them.
“Our village is all about family and having fun. We love to get the residents coming out, spending time with each other and getting involved.
“That’s how it should be, enjoying one another’s company and living life to the fullest.”
