Parky McPark Face, Reservie Mc Reserveface and You Know, That Park Where They Have That Thing.
These are some of the hilarious names entered into Cardinia Shire Council’s Name Your Park competition.
The community competition allowed residents to have their say on what they’d like to see the under-construction Deep Creek Reserve called.
The competition appears to have brought out the comedians within the community and while the council thinks the names are “hilarious”, they aren’t exactly what it’s after.
“Whilst we think it’s great you’re getting involved and having a bit of fun with the Name Your Park competition, do you really want this important community asset named after any of these suggestions?” a council spokesperson wrote on its Facebook page.
“We think they’re hilarious too, which is why we put them up on our sign for you to see! But these suggestions in particular don’t meet the competition guidelines and we’re hoping to get some more suggestions that do.”
The council has extended the submissions and voting deadline by two weeks, so head to www.oursay.org/cardinia/nameyourpark to read the selection criteria and enter your vote.
Entries close 5pm on Friday 8 December.

Lang Lang residents are shaking their heads after a blunder saw ‘No Standing’ signs placed in the local primary’s school’s drop-off zone.
The signs were meant for a turning lane opposite the school to allow traffic safe entry into Tresize Court after drivers were found parking there while visiting the school.
But VicRoads messed up, and the signs are now leading to parents being very confused about where to park during school pick-up and drop-off.
