A Pakenham RV manufacturer has gone into liquidation.
Trail Xross RV Pty Ltd, the company behind Quest RV, on 1 February filed for voluntary liquidation, Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) records reveal.
“Notice is given that at a general meeting of the members of the company held on 01 February 2018, it was resolved that the company be wound up and that Mathew Terence Gollant be appointed liquidator,” the ASIC website states.
The camper manufacturing factory, operating from a Bormar Drive site, had been in business for over 25 years, and prided itself on being 100 per cent Australian built and designed and offering factory direct prices.
“All the experience and knowledge over the years has gone in to the construction of these vans,” Quest RV’s website states.
From listening to customers’ feedback in conjunction with the dealer network, we have come up with a product that suits the Australian outback conditions.”
It is unclear at this stage what has led to the company’s troubles; however it is understood a number of customers are owed RVs and repair works after making full payments.
It is also understood the Pakenham facility has been closed since the Christmas period.
Mr Gollant confirmed he had been appointed liquidator, but said he could not provide any further details on the company’s financial situation.
“The former director, Graham Drake, is assisting me in collating details of the company’s creditors and customer claims,” Mr Gollant said.
“Those parties will be contacted once we have their details.”
