Berwick Fields Primary School students celebrated the Chinese New Year with a colourful, fun-filled afternoon.
On 16 February, students across all year levels joined in the festivities, which included a dragon parade and arts and craft afternoon with their peers and families.
Class 2B they made red envelopes and filled them with well wishes for their classmates for the New Year while 4B students also made paper fans and lanterns, before giving a short presentation on their importance to their families.
LOTE teacher Bernie Ashby said everyone wore a touch of red “to help us bring good luck for the New Year”.
Artwork created by the students as part of the celebrations will be on display at the Berwick Show this weekend.
