Teenager dies following Longwarry crash

A teenage girl has died following a crash in Longwarry on 21 February.
The 15-year-old from Garfield sustained life-threatening injuries after the white Mercedes sedan she was travelling in veered off the road and crashed into a tree along Evans Road near Knights Road, just after 8.30am.
She was airlifted to The Alfred hospital but sadly died in hospital later that evening.
The driver, an 18-year-old Longwarry man, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
