CITRUS vandals have wreaked havoc on Duncan Drive, hurling fruit through several residential windows and infuriating residents.

Several homeowners awoke on Sunday morning to find oranges scattered throughout their rooms, surrounded by broken glass.

Janette Tarrant suspects it may have been carried out by intoxicated teenagers, given the time and randomness of the incident.

“We actually heard our front window smash at about 2am and woke up to check what happened,” she said.

“We thought we were being robbed, but then we turned the light on and saw someone had thrown an orange through our lounge room window.

“There’s no real reason for it – it’s a bit senseless.”

For Ms Tarrant, the incident was even more frustrating – given her fence was tagged with graffiti last year.

“That costed us almost $1,000 to remove,” she said.

A total of three homes are believed to have been hit by airborne fruits.
