Casey Childcare and Kinder has taken part in the National Simultaneous Storytime event, with assistance from Victoria Police.
Senior Constables Owen and Bailey last week read the book, ‘Hickory Dickory Dash’ to a room packed with enthusiastic kids to commemorate the occasion.
Kids at Casey Childcare have participated in the event for the past three years.
Centre manager Deb Porter said it was a great chance for the young ones to get involved in literacy.
“It marries well with our strong commitment to developing literacy in children alongside our weekly library visits, participation in the premiers reading challenge, reading to our children, and so much more,” she said.
According to Ms Porter, the children were enamoured throughout the experience.
