Police are investigating an armed robbery and an attempted armed robbery at service stations this month.

It is believed offenders stole number plates off a car parked in Kangan Drive in Berwick about 1am on 26 October.

The plates were attached to a white Holden Commodore and driven to a convenience store on Princes Highway in Officer about 1.30am.

Two males exited the vehicle armed with garden shears and approached the front door but realised the doors were locked and returned to the car.

The offenders then drove to a service station on Princes Highway at Nar Nar Goon and entered the store again with garden shears.

The staff member remained in the rear of the store as the offenders stole bags of killer python lollies and left the store.

The offenders were wearing hooded tops and bandannas over their faces and were driving a white VZ Commodore Acclaim sedan with black wheels.

Investigators have released images of males they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
