Learner driver to face court after assaulting emergency workers

A 21-year-old learner driver will face court after assaulting emergency services workers on Saturday 1 December.

The assault took place after emergency workers attended a collision at Clyde Road in Berwick.

The Doveton man will appear in court at a later date in relation to careless driving, failing to stop, failing to exchange details, driving under the influence, assaulting emergency service workers, resisting arrest, being a learner driver without an experienced accompanying driver and failing to display L-plates.
