A truck carrying cattle rolled over on Kooweerup Road and Manks Road, Kooweerup this morning.

Police, paramedics and CFA appliances were called to the incident, which took place around 7.32am on Tuesday 15 January.

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said a woman in her forties was assessed at the scene with injuries to her back and ankle, but was in a stable condition and didn’t require transport to hospital.

Several cows injured in the rollover had to be euthanised at the scene by the Department of Agriculture, while others were herded to a Kooweerup property.

The incident was under control just before 8am.

Police remained on-scene to direct traffic.
