A car stolen from a Berwick home and dumped in a Narre Warren lake has been dubbed the Loch Ness Monster of Narre Warren by police.
The Nissan Pulsar was taken sometime overnight and discovered by police near Loxley Boulevard around 7.30am on Saturday 16.
It had floated so far into the lake that an unlucky tow truck driver had to wade in to reach it.
A CFA volunteer also ’stripped down to his jocks’ to reach the vehicle, according to a member of Cardinia Highway Patrol.
