Police investigate armed robbery

Police have also released a photograph of the area that the incident occurred.

Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit is investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Beaconsfield on the 26 March.

Police allege that at about 4pm two 17-year-old victims were walking along Woods Street from the direction of the Beaconsfield Railway Station when three teenage boys emerged from a hole in the fence of a vacant lot and approached the victims.

One of the teenagers was waving a stick at the victims before they asked them about their phones. Police also allege another boy pulled out a weapon before taking money from the victim’s wallet and one of the victim’s phones.

All three teenagers were described as African appearance, about 17-years-old and slim build.

Police say one of the boys was wearing an orange balaclava, a white singlet and black cargo pants with a Louis Vuitton belt while another was not wearing a top, had a cap on backwards and black balaclava covering his face.

The third was wearing a black singlet, black cargo plants and a black balaclava covering his face. He also had dreadlocks.

Police believe that the area in which the incident occurred is used extensively by the public and are hoping someone has information in relation to the incident.
