Don’t fur-get to renew your pet’s registration

Don''t forget to renew your pet''s registration with council.

Cardinia Shire Council and the City of Casey is reminding pet owners that now is the time to renew their furry friend’s registration.

All dogs and cats over three months of age must be registered with their local council, with registration to be renewed on an annual basis.

All pet owners in Casey should now have received their renewal notice for 2019 via email or post and are required to pay before the 10 April due date, or to let council know if their circumstances have changed.

Registration renewal notices will be sent to Cardinia residents throughout April and will be due for payment before Friday 10 May.

“Pets can be a wonderful addition to any household but owning them also brings responsibilities to ensure they are valued members of your family and the Casey community,” Casey Mayor Amanda Stapledon said.

“Ensuring your pet is registered helps council to reunite you and your beloved furry friend should they become lost, with fees also going towards a number of other important animal management services.”

Payment for Casey residents can be made securely online on the renew your pet registration page on the council website, via BPAY, by calling 1300 665 200, by visiting an Australia Post Office or at a City of Casey Customer Service Centre.

For Cardinia residents, more information, including all registration fees, is available on the council website at www.cardinia.vic.gov.au/pets
