Declutter and dispose of your unwanted household chemicals at Cardinia Shire’s free Detox Your Home and DrumMUSTER mobile collection event in Pakenham on Saturday 27 April.
Both collection services will be available at council’s depot, 18 Purton Road, Pakenham with the following operating times for each service:
• Detox Your Home: 9am to 3pm
• DrumMUSTER: 9am to 12pm
There is no need to register to use this Cardinia Shire Detox Your Home service.
The Detox Your Home service provides Cardinia residents a safe, free and easy-to-use way to dispose of unwanted common, toxic household chemicals without harming your health or the environment.
The collected chemicals are safely sorted and transported to a specialist waste treatment facility. Where possible, chemicals are recycled or used for other purposes such as energy recovery.
The Detox Your Home program is a free service administered by Sustainability Victoria in partnership with local councils and funded by the Victorian landfill levy.
