A driver in Pakenham went to pick up fish and chips and came home with a court date instead.
The male driver tested positive to illicit drugs in his system after police intercepted his vehicle.
Highway Patrol were notified about the vehicle being parked illegally in a disabled zone.
Upon inspection, the man drove away, not getting far before being intercepted by officers.
The P-plate driver was not displaying any P plates and was driving with illicit drugs in his system.
At the time, the man was driving with a four-year-old child and a child under six months in the vehicle.The man will front a magistrate at a later date.
