A family car has flipped and is currently rested on its side following an incident which took place earlier this morning.

It’s alleged a truck from a neighbouring business has come flying around the corner of Bormar Drive, Pakenham, hitting the vehicle between 6.30am-6.45am today.

The owner of the 2001 model Tarago, Tony Lupeamanu relies on the vehicle to transport his five children. Unfortunately, the Tarago is not insured, with Mr Lupeamanu claiming the truck driver isn’t going to be assisting him further.

“They didn’t contact anyone or stop to ask if anyone owned the vehicle,” Mr Lupeamanu said.

“When I finally got in contact he just said ‘it’s your fault you don’t have insurance’.”

His boss, Spud O Haulage owner Kevin Murphy will provide him with a temporary car while he sorts out what to do with his crumpled vehicle.

A nearby vehicle, owned by a fellow employee was also damaged during the incident.

“That car will definitely need a new bumper,” Mr Murphy said.

The car currently remains on its side. The company believed to be responsible for the truck couldn’t be contacted for comment.
