A 30-year-old woman, who allegedly rear-ended a car in Cockatoo, has recorded a breath test of almost seven times the legal alcohol limit.

An off-duty police officer reported seeing an erratic driver on Friday 19 July, just before 5.30pm.

The driver was tracked to her Launching Place home where she returned the reading of .345.

She admitted she was involved in a collision on Paternoster Road just after 5pm, exchanging details with the other driver.

Her licence was immediately suspended and she will be charged via summons in relation to drink driving and other traffic-related offences.
