For its 39th annual musical, Kooweerup Secondary College students will perform Wicked: The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz throughout August.

Showcasing 52 students across years 7-12, audiences are sure to enjoy the energetic and spectacular show.

The show is set to run smoothly with a further 35 students behind the scenes in control of sound, lighting, make up, costumes and the orchestra.

“We’re very excited for everyone to hear the quality of our students and see the hard work they have been putting in for months,” Kooweerup Secondary College productions coordinator David Campbell said.

“It’s great for students to keep working on their performing arts skills, confidence and growing in friendship and teamwork.”

Mr Campbell said the students have been rehearsing weekly since April and picked up speed in May, rehearsing eight hours a week for the last three months, including on the weekends.

The show will take place at the school on Thursday 22 August 7pm, Friday 23 August 7pm and Saturday 24 August at 1pm and 7pm.
