Baw Baw Shire Council is calling on the public to provide input regarding their routine road maintenance service.

Council is reviewing current service levels and response times for all road maintenance activities including pothole repairs, grading, road inspections and more.

In order to establish a specific and detailed understanding of community expectations and needs, council is requesting all road-using residents complete a 24-question survey.

The survey will identify types and intensities of road use, preferred methods to raise maintenance requests, priority of maintenance types and more.

Mayor Cr Mikaela Power said road maintenance was identified as a priority for residents.

“Road maintenance is an issue that residents often raise with Councillors. Your input to the survey will really help us to make sure that the updated Road Management Plan works for road users,” Ms Power said.

“The more feedback we get, the more confidence we’ll have that the revised Road Management Plan will hit the target to meet the needs of our community.”

The survey opened on Tuesday 6 August and will remain open until Friday 30 August. It can be completed online, while hard copies can be collected at Council Customer Service Centres.
