Cops catch teen driver

A Commodore with an offensive acronym for a number plate has caught the attention of Cardinia Highway Patrol and resulted in a court date for a 17-year-old driver.

The suspicious car was driving with fake plates along the Princes Freeway in Pakenham when police intercepted the vehicle.

To avoid arrest, the driver and two passengers fled on foot, attempting to jump fences to escape officers, but the driver and one of the passengers was eventually caught.

A 17-year-old from Officer was interviewed for five offences and is expected to be charged on summons to appear at the Children’s Court at a later date.
