Easiest $50k ever

A Pakenham woman is struggling to comprehend the news that she is $50,000 richer after guessing the mystery voice on Kiis FM radio last week.

Most of us dream about winning a big cash prize, but for Zoe, that dream came true.

“To win you had to guess who the last voice was. I had been following it from the start, getting all the clues they released along the way,” she explained.

“The night before I called they had released a clue that the star shared their name with a famous singer and sports athlete, as well as a pixelated photo.

“I spent hours image searching, enlisted the help of my husband and found the top that resembled the photo.”

The big win came as a huge shock to Zoe.

“My initial reaction to the win was pure shock. This kind of thing doesn’t happen to us, it happens to other people,” she said.

“I still don’t think it’s entirely registered that I’ve actually won. I’m still in disbelief; it really is a life changing win.”

As for spending plans, Zoe anticipates a “fair lot of it” will go to her grandfather.

“He raised me from extremely young and over the last few years has had two diagnoses of bowel cancer,” she said.

“He is in remission for that but earlier this year we found that skin cancer was starting to show, and then he was diagnosed with an aggressive form that was attacking the nerves behind his eye.

“He deserves and needs this money; it’s been an incredibly stressful time financially and emotionally.”

Zoe says the rest of the cash will go towards bills and possibly a holiday.
