National Basketball League players visited Pakenham Springs Primary School on Tuesday 10 September to inspire members of the next generation.

The brand new NBL team, South East Melbourne Phoenix, conducted basketball clinics with Grade 5 students throughout the day.

At lunchtime, the Grade 6 students played an intense game against the Phoenix players which was supported by the entire school community.

Students had the chance to chat with the players and get their basketball singlets signed.

Assistant principal Renee Cotterell said the students had a “fabulous time” and are “very enthusiastic” to see the Phoenix play when the new NBL season begins.
