There was zigging, zagging and bean-bagging at Don Jackson Reserve last week for the third instalment in Cardinia Shire’s Spring Reserve Roadshow.

Young kids from across Cardinia were only too excited to get jumping and running in a series of fun activities put on by Aligned Leisure in conjunction with the council.

There were bean bag throws, an agility course and a handball competition that brought out the kids’ inner footy champions.

The event was part of the Spring Reserve Roadshow, running from September to November, which invites residents to explore the Shire’s reserves while taking part in free activities.

The roadshow is aimed at kids and will visit 13 reserves over the three months.

“Council was thrilled to have around 20 children attend Don Jackson Reserve in Pakenham,” the council said in a statement.

“The children enjoyed playing on Don Jackson Reserve’s brilliant playground and participating in the free activity conducted by Aligned Leisure, which encouraged physical activity, healthy eating and promoted positive mental health.”
