Cardinia Highway Patrol detected a vehicle travelling at 130km/h in a 70 km/h zone in Beaconsfield on Wednesday 2 October.
The vehicle was intercepted on the Princes Highway and impounded at a cost of $1280 for 30 days.
The driver will be summonsed to attend court.
