The State Emergency Service (SES) has issued a flood watch for the Bunyip River.

A cold front will be crossing Victoria during Wednesday 6 November which will be followed by several active cold fronts bringing showers and thunderstorms across the flood watch area.

It’s understood catchments in the flood watch area are relatively wet following recent rainfall.

Three day accumulated rainfall totals from Thursday to Saturday across the affected catchments will be around 50-70mm.

Those near the Bunyip River catchment should stay informed by listening to emergency broadcasters and monitoring warnings.

Farmers should consider moving livestock and machinery to higher ground.
